A Brief Synopsis of some of our Service Offerings

01

MECHANICAL PROBLEMS

Vibrations & Movements – one way to diagnose mechanical problems is to pay attention to how it feels when you drive it. Worn-out brake pads or rotors can cause vibrating or shaking. If you notice any unusual movements or shakes you should contact your mechanic. Bring it to Dare-It Auto Center and we’ll take it for a test drive to determine where the shaking is coming from. Bad or Strong Smells – when technicians are looking for the source of a mechanical problem sometimes they simply rely on their noses.

In other words, if they notice any strong or bad smells that’s a sign something is wrong. The bad fumes could be coming from the exhaust. It could be burning oil or it might be the smell of gas, or even burning rubber. Any of these smells is a sign of trouble.

02

ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS

The most common sign of electrical issues within the vehicle is a clicking noise upon attempted ignition. When the clicking occurs, the car doesn’t have enough current flow in its electrical system to start the engine. Usually, this means that the car’s battery has lost its charge or is at the end of its useful life. However, this could also indicate an issue with the alternator or the starter.

03

ENGINE REPAIRS

It’s perhaps one of the most nerve-racking and common engine problems, nearly every driver has experienced that sinking feeling of turning the key and the engine failing to start as normal. You can usually conclude it’s a battery problem if the engine is clicking but there’s no crank. When there’s a crank, but still not start, you are looking at a fuel or ignition problem. Some other typical reasons engines fail include: Low or discharged battery; Corroded or loose battery cables; Starter motor relay failure; Ignition switch failure; Faulty fuel pump; Clogged or dirty fuel filter; Neglecting oil and filter changes or Catalytic converter failure.

04

CLUTCH REPAIRS

If you can hear a noise when you depress the clutch pedal or release it, or both when the engine is off, it’s probably a problem with the clutch release mechanism or “clutch fork.”

The clutch fork is a hydraulic or mechanical releasing device that helps engage and disengage the clutch. You’ll hear noises when the lubricant dries out and the mechanism wears down. A cable, rod, or connection may also scrape and cause squeaking or clunking.

05

BRAKE REPAIRS

When your car starts creating abnormal sounds, feelings or smells, start investigating the issue sooner rather than letting the condition worsen. Waiting will only lead to more expensive parts wearing out and requiring replacement. Pay attention to sounds, smells and sensations that signal brake problems. These include: screeching, grinding, squealing, rubbing, and other eardrum-piercing noises are common indicators that your brake pads & shoes require inspection.

06

OIL CHANGE

One of the most fundamental maintenance measures any motor vehicle needs to run smoothly is a regular oil change schedule. However, because oil changes are fairly straightforward and usually are not needed for months at a time, some drivers may put off or forget this task. As your vehicle age, you may need more frequent oil changes, increases in mileage, or drives in more extreme climates. Here are some signs that you should bring your vehicle into Dare-it Auto Center:  excess vehicle exhaust; falling oil level; increased engine noise; irregular oil texture; low oil level; more mileage than usual; persistent check engine light; shaking while idling or ticking sounds when starting.
